This is the cheapest place to go if you want to dive around the area of Sipadan. The hostel is built on stilts out in the water, and it is indeed charming.

The hostel offers electricity from 6pm to 6am, which includes wifi. The hostel it self is very basic, so don’t expect any glamour and bliss.

Food is not available on the island it self, so you will have to eat what the hostel serves. What they serve is chicken, local veggie and rice. Sometimes you’ll have the option between fish and chicken or just fish. Breakfast(07.00, lunch(12.00) and Dinner(19.00) is all the same, and usually cold.

Keep in mind that this is a hostel where you go only to dive. Usually you stay no more than 2 or 3 days.

This hostel do have a mingling area, however, most visitors are couples on a short diving holiday. Not the best social arena.

PS: The hostel do have something new york is dealing with, bedbugs. Yes, they are incredibly annoying, but they wont kill you. I was lucky and I’m bedbug-free.
